Foundayo for Ohio Adults

For an adult in Ohio, obtaining Foundayo begins with a doctor deciding whether it fits the patient’s health needs. Gentle Health offers that review online, with messaging and video visits included. If the doctor prescribes, LillyDirect Pharmacy fills the order and charges separately for the medicine. Our care costs $28 monthly, starting only after a prescription is written; approval is never automatic.

Compare the continuing bill, not only the introductory offer. As checked October 19, 2026, our brand-care comparison lists Ro and Hims & Hers at $149 a month for ongoing month-to-month care, with a $39 opening month at each. Ro also offers a less expensive annual prepaid equivalent. Gentle Health’s doctor-care charge for Ohio patients is $28 monthly; the pharmacy’s Foundayo charge is separate.

Foundayo tablet price and dose steps for Ohio

The product is taken by mouth once a day and does not require timing with meals. Its prescribing information specifies 0.8 mg for no less than 30 days before 2.5 mg, and the same minimum interval before further increases. Foundayo is available at 0.8, 2.5, 5.5, 9, 14.5 and 17.2 mg. An Ohio patient should follow the clinician’s prescribed steps instead of adjusting for price.

Foundayo’s self-pay charge changes with the prescribed strength. On October 19, 2026, LillyDirect showed $149 for 0.8 or 2.5 mg, $199 for 5.5 mg, $299 for 9 mg, and $299 for 14.5 or 17.2 mg when the 45-day refill condition is satisfied. Without that last offer, the two highest doses are $349. The lower 2.5- and 5.5-mg prices run only through December 31, 2026. Our Foundayo cost guide explains the schedule for Ohio readers.

Budget two separate charges for Foundayo: $28 each calendar month for our medical service and the pharmacy’s medication price. In Ohio, that care fee starts only if the doctor prescribes. Video visits and messages are included; there is no prepaid term or per-visit charge, and you may cancel whenever you choose. We do not dispense or deliver the drug.

Doctor review for Ohio patients

In Ohio, a licensed physician reviews your medical intake online and decides whether a video visit is needed. You can ask for a video visit. The doctor considers your medical history, other medicines and the Foundayo label before deciding; an online form alone does not establish that the medicine is right for you in Ohio. Gentle Health serves adults 18 and older.

James Simmons, MD, holds Ohio medical license 35C.004519. Check that number with the State Medical Board of Ohio before you start. Our service covers eligible adults in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo and other communities in Ohio; the current Ohio service page has the local service details.

There is no automatic approval for Foundayo in Ohio. If the doctor prescribes, follow-up questions, dose decisions, messaging and video visits are part of the monthly care. If the doctor does not prescribe, the brand-care fee does not start.

From an Ohio prescription to LillyDirect delivery

Once the Ohio doctor’s Foundayo prescription reaches LillyDirect Pharmacy, its dispensing partner sends a checkout link by text or email. Lilly’s FAQ asks for at least 3–5 business days of verification time; most orders then ship within 1–4 days after checkout, with free home delivery. Those are estimates rather than delivery promises. See our LillyDirect guide for the steps.

An Ohio patient taking 14.5 or 17.2 mg Foundayo should track the prior delivery date. Buying the next fill within 45 days keeps the $299 maker offer; after that, the fill can cost $349. Only a clinician can change the prescribed strength through a new prescription, not the pharmacy at checkout.

Foundayo is FDA-approved for adult weight management under the conditions in its prescribing information, not for type 2 diabetes. The Ohio doctor reviews relevant risks and other medicines; Foundayo is contraindicated with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2. Gentle Health is not affiliated with Eli Lilly.

Insurance and public-program choices in Ohio

Check insurance before paying a cash pharmacy price for Foundayo. An Ohio plan’s answer depends on the exact product or device, the pharmacy and its authorization criteria. The total could be lower through that route, but Gentle Health does not process insurance claims or prior authorizations.

If you use Ohio Medicaid, check your plan’s current Foundayo criteria directly; a manufacturer’s cash price does not establish Medicaid coverage or reimbursement.

The temporary Medicare GLP-1 Bridge is another route for eligible Ohio beneficiaries. Its weight-management list includes Foundayo tablets at a $50 copay, subject to clinical criteria and plan approval. The demonstration runs July 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027; the CMS provider page was last modified August 6, 2026. Our self-pay doctor service is separate from that benefit.

Other treatment routes in Ohio

Our Ohio GLP-1 guide describes other treatment routes. Foundayo is FDA-approved; compounded medications are not, and they are not the same product.
