Foundayo is a once-daily, FDA-approved weight-management pill. For a Florida adult, our doctor can review an online medical intake and decide whether to prescribe it. If appropriate, the prescription goes to LillyDirect; you buy the tablets from its dispensing pharmacy. Gentle Health’s doctor care is $28 a month, charged only after a prescription is written. LillyDirect’s tablet charge is separate.
Our price comparison for brand-name care shows why separating those charges is useful. As checked October 19, 2026, Ro and Hims & Hers list $149 a month for ongoing month-to-month doctor care; Gentle Health’s care fee is $28. Both list a $39 first month, while Ro’s annual prepaid plan has a lower monthly-equivalent fee. Compare the total and any commitment before deciding which service fits.
What the Florida doctor reviews
In Florida, a licensed physician reviews your medical intake online and decides whether a video visit is needed. You may request video. James Simmons, MD, is licensed in Florida under ME183513; verify the record through the Florida Department of Health practitioner search. The doctor decides whether Foundayo is clinically appropriate. An online request does not guarantee a prescription.
Our Florida service page explains the current service area. We serve adults in Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa, Orlando and St. Petersburg, among other Florida locations. Gentle Health treats people 18 and older. The doctor asks about your medical history and current medicines, including any other GLP-1 drug, before considering Foundayo.
The Foundayo prescribing information approves the medicine alongside diet and physical activity to reduce excess body weight and maintain weight reduction in adults with obesity, or adults with overweight and at least one weight-related condition. It is not approved for type 2 diabetes. The label warns about thyroid C-cell tumors and says not to use it with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2.
Pill schedule and LillyDirect prices
Foundayo is taken once a day, with or without food. The label starts at 0.8 mg daily for at least 30 days, then increases to 2.5 mg. Later dose changes are also separated by at least 30 days. Tablets come in 0.8, 2.5, 5.5, 9, 14.5 and 17.2 mg strengths. The doctor chooses the dose and pace; do not change it based only on a price table.
At LillyDirect, one self-pay month is 30 tablets. As of October 19, 2026, the prices are $149 for 0.8 mg, $149 for 2.5 mg, $199 for 5.5 mg and $299 for 9 mg. The 14.5 and 17.2 mg doses are $299 if the qualifying refill is bought within 45 days; otherwise their regular price is $349 (Foundayo self-pay terms). The $149 price at 2.5 mg and the $199 price at 5.5 mg are temporary reductions through December 31, 2026. Check the current Lilly terms if you start near or after that date. The Foundayo cost and eligibility guide goes into the dose and coverage questions.
On top of the tablets, doctor care with us costs $28 a month. Messaging and video visits are included, and there is no prepayment, per-visit fee or minimum term. You can cancel any time. Gentle Health does not sell, ship or dispense Foundayo, and does not bill insurance. We are not affiliated with Eli Lilly.
Buying the medicine after a prescription
Our doctor sends an appropriate prescription to LillyDirect Pharmacy. Include a current mobile number and email in your account because its dispensing partner contacts you with a checkout link. Lilly asks you to allow at least 3–5 business days to verify prescription information. After checkout, most prescriptions ship in 1–4 days with free home delivery (LillyDirect FAQ). These are pharmacy estimates, not a guaranteed arrival date.
If the dose changes, the doctor must send a new prescription. At the two highest doses, the $299 price depends on purchasing the next fill within 45 days after receiving the previous one. A missed window can raise that month’s medicine price to $349. You may message our doctor about tolerability or a refill question as part of the monthly care. Insurance and Medicare questions in Florida
Before paying cash, ask your commercial plan whether it covers Foundayo for your diagnosis and which pharmacy to use. An insured price may be lower than self-pay. Gentle Health does not file the claim or complete prior authorization. If you use Florida Medicaid, ask your plan about its current Foundayo policy; do not infer coverage from LillyDirect’s cash price.
For qualifying Florida Medicare beneficiaries, the temporary Medicare GLP-1 Bridge lists Foundayo as an eligible weight-management drug, with a $50 copay and clinical criteria. It operates July 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027. The CMS provider page was last modified August 6, 2026. The Bridge is separate from paying LillyDirect cash through our service; ask your Part D plan about approval.
Foundayo is FDA-approved; compounded medications are not, and they are not the same product. If you want to understand the other weight-management routes available here, start with our Florida GLP-1 guide.
