Gentle Health Now Prescribes Brand-Name GLP-1s: Zepbound, Wegovy and Foundayo

As of October 19, 2026, our doctor prescribes three brand-name GLP-1 medicines alongside our compounded care: Zepbound (single-dose vials or the KwikPen), the Wegovy pen and Foundayo, the once-daily pill. That covers all 41 jurisdictions where our physician is licensed.

You pay us $28 a month for the doctor’s care, with no prepay, no per-visit fees, and you can cancel any time. Ro and Hims & Hers charge $149 a month, month to month, for the care alone (Ro’s pricing page, October 19, 2026; Hims & Hers’ site, September 30, 2026). You buy the medicine itself from the maker’s own pharmacy, at its self-pay price.

What we now prescribe

  • Zepbound (tirzepatide), by Eli Lilly: a weekly injection, as single-dose vials or the multi-dose KwikPen. Bought from LillyDirect, Lilly’s own pharmacy service.
  • Wegovy (semaglutide) pen, by Novo Nordisk: a weekly injection with the needle built in. Bought from NovoCare Pharmacy, Novo’s own pharmacy.
  • Foundayo (orforglipron), by Eli Lilly: a pill taken once a day, with or without food. Approved in April 2026 for weight management in adults. Bought from LillyDirect.

We don’t prescribe Mounjaro, Ozempic, the Wegovy pill or the Zepbound single-dose pen. Mounjaro and Ozempic are approved for type 2 diabetes; Zepbound and Wegovy are the versions of the same medicines approved for weight. How the four compare is in Ozempic vs Wegovy vs Zepbound vs Mounjaro.

How it works

  1. You complete the online intake. It is free, and so is the doctor’s review.
  2. Our doctor reviews it, in writing or by video visit, depending on your state’s rules. Every prescription is written by the same physician, James Simmons, MD, licensed in your state.
  3. If a medicine is right for you, the doctor sends the prescription to LillyDirect or NovoCare Pharmacy.
  4. The pharmacy texts and emails you how to check out. You pay them for the medicine, and they ship it to you.
  5. You pay us $28 a month for the doctor’s care, starting only once the doctor writes the prescription. Unlimited messaging and video visits are included. There is no minimum, and you can cancel any time.

A prescription is never guaranteed: the doctor prescribes only when a medicine is right for you.

What the medicine costs

Self-pay prices from the makers’ pharmacies, as of October 19, 2026:

Medicine Self-pay price
Zepbound vial or KwikPen $299 (2.5 mg), $399 (5 mg), $449 (7.5 mg to 15 mg if refilled within 45 days; $499 to $699 otherwise), per 4 weeks
Wegovy pen $349 a month at every strength up to 2.4 mg; $199 for a new patient’s first two fills of 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg, through December 31, 2026
Foundayo $149 to $299 a month by dose; the 2.5 mg and 5.5 mg prices are temporarily reduced through December 31, 2026, and the 14.5 mg and 17.2 mg doses are $349 if not refilled within 45 days

Sources: LillyDirect Zepbound, LillyDirect Foundayo, NovoCare Pharmacy. Needles and syringes for Zepbound vials are bought separately. Our comparison page shows the prices dose by dose.

These are the same prices you would pay through any provider that sends prescriptions to these pharmacies. What changes between providers is the care fee.

Insurance

We don’t bill insurance or handle prior authorizations. If your plan covers Zepbound or Wegovy, a covered fill with the maker’s savings card can cost much less than self-pay, so it is worth checking first: see does insurance cover Zepbound? and how much Wegovy costs with and without insurance.

Compounded care is still available

We still prescribe compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, with the medication included in the monthly price. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and they are not generic or equivalent versions of Zepbound, Wegovy or any brand. Brand-name medicine is FDA-approved and comes straight from the maker. If you are already with us on a compounded plan, message the doctor to talk through whether a switch makes sense for you.

Gentle Health is not affiliated with Eli Lilly or Novo Nordisk.
