You complete a short medical intake online, and a doctor licensed in Missouri personally reviews it — Missouri accepts an online questionnaire only when it gives the doctor as much as an in-person evaluation would, so your doctor may message you with questions or ask you to book a video visit. If treatment is appropriate for you, your prescription is filled by a licensed US pharmacy and shipped overnight to your door anywhere in Missouri. You may not need to visit a clinic in person.

Our semaglutide program starts at $112/month (once-daily oral drops) or $135/month (weekly injections). Tirzepatide starts at $169/month. The price includes the medication itself, your doctor visits, ongoing medical supervision, and overnight refrigerated shipping. Compounded semaglutide (the active ingredient in Wegovy and Ozempic), available as once-daily oral drops or a weekly injection, and compounded tirzepatide (the active ingredient in Zepbound and Mounjaro) as a weekly injection. The injections also contain an added ingredient, such as a B vitamin, that the brand products do not. Your doctor recommends the medication, form, and dose that fit your health history and goals.

To pursue coverage instead you would need a provider who accepts your plan and prescribes a medication it covers — the FDA-approved brands, not a compounded preparation. Where each programme stands:

1. MO HealthNet: Covered for weight loss, with prior authorization. Missouri Medicaid began covering select anti-obesity drugs on January 9, 2025. Its obesity GLP-1 criteria, revised April 23, 2026, list Zepbound and Foundayo as preferred, for adults with a BMI of 30 or more, or 27 or more with a listed weight-related condition such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, sleep apnea or prediabetes. Approval runs 90 days at a time. Wegovy is non-preferred, and the state's prior authorization form says it is not covered for weight loss, only for cardiovascular risk reduction and MASH.
2. Private plans: Missouri has no law requiring insurers to cover weight-loss drugs. A 2026 bill, SB 1606, would have required obesity coverage only for patients aged two to twenty, and it was not enacted. Check your own plan.
3. Medicare: Coverage may still be possible through the federal GLP-1 Bridge: a $50 copay for Wegovy, Zepbound or Foundayo through December 31, 2027, for Part D enrollees with a BMI of 35 or more, or lower with specific heart, stroke, artery, blood-pressure, kidney or prediabetes conditions. Type 2 diabetes, moderate-to-severe sleep apnea and MASH are covered through regular Part D instead.

Only if the form does the work of an in-person evaluation, and that rule is new. Until August 28, 2026, Missouri law said a questionnaire completed online or by phone was not an acceptable medical evaluation. § 191.1146 now allows one when the treating clinician reviews it and it carries information sufficient as though the medical evaluation has been performed in person; otherwise it still does not count. Missouri does not require video: § 191.1145 counts audio-only and store-and-forward review as telehealth. A doctor licensed in Missouri reads your intake himself, messages you with the follow-up questions a form cannot ask, and asks you to book a video visit when that is not enough. The law is weeks old and the medical board has not yet said how it will apply it.

Yes, if you give us their details. Since August 28, 2026, § 191.1146.3 requires a provider who uses an online medical questionnaire to send a written report to your primary health care provider within fourteen days of the evaluation, if you have provided one. The report states who you are, the date of the evaluation, the diagnosis and treatment, and any further instructions you were given.
