Upfront pricing
Your monthly price depends on the program and dose your doctor prescribes. The price you see is the whole price — no membership fees, shipping fees, or added taxes. The cost is billed monthly. There is a two-month minimum commitment when you start: you're billed when you start and again one month later, because we send two months or more (depending on your dose) of medication at a time to save on refrigerated overnight shipping costs. After each refill, you can cancel 30 days after you request it. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.

GLP-1 telehealth in Kansas: how it works.
Telehealth rules vary by state, and so does how our service works. Here is exactly what to expect in Kansas — with the public records to verify our licensure.
- In Kansas, a licensed physician reviews your medical intake online and decides whether a video visit is needed.
- James Simmons, MD is licensed to practice in Kansas (license 04-53812). Verify it yourself with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
Law and coverage answers checked against primary sources on September 13, 2026.
Can I get a GLP-1 prescription online in Kansas?
Yes. You complete a short medical intake online, and a doctor licensed in Kansas personally reviews it — Kansas counts store-and-forward review within telemedicine and holds it to the same standards of practice as in-person care, so your doctor may message you with questions or ask you to book a video visit. If treatment is appropriate for you, your prescription is filled by a licensed US pharmacy and shipped overnight to your door anywhere in Kansas. You may not need to visit a clinic in person.
How much does GLP-1 treatment cost in Kansas?
Our semaglutide program starts at $112/month (once-daily oral drops) or $135/month (weekly injections). Tirzepatide starts at $169/month. The price includes the medication itself, your doctor visits, ongoing medical supervision, and overnight refrigerated shipping. There is no membership fee, and the intake and your doctor's first review or visit are free: you pay nothing until you choose to start medication.
Do you take insurance?
Not at this time. We charge one all-in monthly price with the medication, doctor visits, and shipping included, so there is no prior authorization. HSA and FSA cards are accepted at checkout, and we provide itemized receipts and a Letter of Medical Necessity on request.
Which medications do you prescribe?
Compounded semaglutide (the active ingredient in Wegovy and Ozempic), available as once-daily oral drops or a weekly injection, and compounded tirzepatide (the active ingredient in Zepbound and Mounjaro) as a weekly injection. Tirzepatide injections may contain nothing added or a B vitamin; semaglutide injections contain a B vitamin. Your doctor recommends the medication, form, and dose that fit your health history and goals.
Who prescribes my medication?
James Simmons, MD, our medical director, is licensed in Kansas and board-certified in emergency medicine (ABEM). He personally reviews your intake, meets with you over video when either of you wants a visit, and supervises your treatment over time.
Where in Kansas do you serve?
All of Kansas. Care starts online and medication ships overnight statewide, so care is the same whether you're in Wichita, Overland Park, Kansas City, Olathe, or a town without a weight-management clinic nearby.
Does Medicare or Kansas Medicaid cover this?
Not through Gentle Health. We do not bill Medicare, Kansas Medicaid or private insurance, and everyone pays the prices shown on this page. To pursue coverage instead you would need a provider who accepts your plan and prescribes a medication it covers — the FDA-approved brands, not a compounded preparation. Where each programme stands:
- Kansas Medicaid: Covered, and if you qualify there is no copay: Kansas removed copayments for fee-for-service members, and KanCare managed-care members are exempt from them. Qualifying is its own process: a BMI of 30, or 27 with a weight-related condition, prior authorization, a first approval of 28 weeks, and documented weight loss (5% at 12 weeks or 10% at 28 weeks) to renew for 6 months and then 12 months at a time.
- Medicare: Coverage may still be possible through the federal GLP-1 Bridge: a $50 copay for Wegovy, Zepbound or Foundayo through December 31, 2027, for Part D enrollees with a BMI of 35 or more, or lower with specific heart, stroke, artery, blood-pressure, kidney or prediabetes conditions. Type 2 diabetes, moderate-to-severe sleep apnea and MASH are covered through regular Part D instead.
Does Kansas require an in-person visit before a doctor can prescribe?
No. K.S.A. 40-2,212(b) states affirmatively that telemedicine may be used to establish the physician-patient relationship. Kansas also adds a reporting duty: under 40-2,212(d)(2)(A), when you consent and have a primary care or other treating physician, your telemedicine provider must send that physician a report of the treatment within three business days.
Can a pharmacy outside Kansas ship my medication to me?
Only with a Kansas nonresident registration. Shipping without one is a felony under K.S.A. 65-1657, and even advertising into Kansas while unregistered is separately unlawful. Kansas also applies its sterile-compounding rules extraterritorially, to preparations shipped or delivered into the state.
